Corey Seager drew five walks in the Texas Rangers' Game 2 win. Once he saw a strike in Game 3, he didn't waste any time.

Corey Seager sends one outta here

Fox Sports choosing to quote a Creed song in their caption aside, Seager hit the third pitch he saw over the right field wall to give the Rangers an early 1-0 lead. It was a no-doubt shot, which is why Seager dropped his bat and jogged down the line with arms wide open.
It's a big departure from the previous game, where Seager drew walks in each of the first three innings, the third one coming ahead of Mitch Garver's game-breaking grand slam. He walked his first four times up before flying out in the seventh inning — on a 3-2 count, of course. Seager finished his night with a ninth inning walk.
The final count for Game 2 was six plate appearances, two runs, five walks, 37 pitches seen, one ball put in play. Game 3 was three pitches, one home run.
It's Seager's 14th career home run in the postseason, and his eighth at Globe Life Field. That was the site of three rounds of playoff games for Seager's Dodgers in 2020, when he won World Series MVP.
Seager's selectivity rubbed off on teammate Nathaniel Lowe, who fouled off nine pitches during a 15-pitch at-bat to lead off the second inning.
"The most impressive line out in baseball history."

That might have exhausted Orioles starter Dean Kremer, who gave up a single and then a double to Marcus Semien. Of course, Seager was intentionally walked, but it backfired when Garver delivered again with the bases loaded.

Semien scored when Adolis Garcia followed with a massive 418-foot home run to make it 6-0 Rangers.

The Orioles can't win with Corey Seager. Because the way the guys behind him are hitting, a walk is as good as a hit. Or even a home run.
