A former Ohio State cornerback has been arrested for allegedly robbing a bank in north Columbus, Ohio.

Marcus Williamson, who played at Ohio State from 2017-2021, was arrested for allegedly robbing First Merchant’s Bank on Wednesday, according to 10TV News. Williamson allegedly entered the bank around 10:40 a.m. and approached a teller with a note demanding money. Williamson was allegedly armed with a gun. The teller complied and gave Williamson an "unspecified amount of cash."

Williamson ran away from the bank and allegedly fled in a Jeep, but he was apprehended by police and placed under arrest. He has been charged with aggravated robbery and was not granted bond.

Williamson is scheduled to appear in court on Friday.

As if all that is not enough, WBNS’ Lacey Crisp reports that Williamson is being investigated for nine bank robberies over the last few weeks.

Williamson has also been arrested and charged for kidnapping, robbing and carjacking in the past.

Williamson had 27 tackles in 7 games in 2020 and 24 tackles over 10 games in 2021. He drew attention in 2022 after throwing shade at his Ohio State coaches. He also made an allegation about Urban Meyer.
